This
week, Chris Attoh a Ghanaian actor who plays the role of ‘Kwame Mensah’ in the
popular TV series Tinsel announces his exist from the series. He explained, why
he is leaving is to pursue other career interests. Attoh revealed in a statement
through a South African based management, Waka Talent. ‘The last seven years on
Tinsel have been an incredible journey and experience for me. Working with
M-Net was phenomenal and it took a lot of deliberation but I have decided to
pursue other career interests’.
He
further explains that he is leaving the M-NET produced series to continue a career in TV and movie production.
He once worked as a reporter and TV host before going into acting.
Meanwhile,
another famous actor at Tinsel Gbenro Ajibade has been suspended from the show.
I was told by a reliable source that Gbenro Ajibade was suspended because he
failed to show up on the set for a sequence of shoots which involved his
character ‘Soji Bankole’.
He
traveled to the US
for the Africa Fashion Week New York where he worked as a runway model. A source
who works in Tinsel said ‘Gbenro knew he had roles to play but still insist on traveling
out of the country for the event knowing too well of the consequences involved.’
I
am not fully sure when exactly his suspension took effect.
They
were no response in the Calls and E-mails that was sent to Him. A director on
the series George Kura also did not respond to any of his phone calls.
