N100 bribe: Policewoman caught in video arrested


The police woman caught in a video footage demanding a bribe of N100 from a commercial bus driver has been arrested says the Lagos State Police Command.

Public Relations Officer off the command, Ngozi Braide, told PUNCH on the telephone that the arrest followed a probe of the video which has been circulating on the social media.

“We have arrested her and she is presently in custody. She will be made to undergo an orderly room trial and the outcome will be made public,’’ Braide said.

She refused to provide the name and the station the female police officer was attached, asking them to call back. Several calls has been made, and text messages has been sent on the matter without a response from her.

Within 24 hours, the video has increased in amount of views, moving from 23,000 to over 46,000 as at the time of this report.
